“A Theological Drift”

GoandTellOur General Superintendent David Wells writes about “a theological drift.”

He writes: “Evidence points to a lack of “evangelistic conviction” among Canadian evangelical Christians. In recent EFC-sponsored surveys that included PAOC congregations, 40 per cent of evangelicals strongly or moderately disagreed with this statement: “I feel it is very important to encourage non-Christians to become Christian.”

Neo-universalism – all will be saved – is becoming, at least in practice, the ruling conviction for many Christians in evangelical contexts, including Pentecostals. If the Lord is going to work it out for everybody in the end, why be overly concerned about proclaiming the good news? The very definition of the “Gospel”: often appears to be up for grabs.”

This is shameful testimony among evangelicals! The Lord COMMANDED  us to preach the Gospel to EVERY creature!” Mark 15:15. What is it that you don’t understand about this clear statement?

We must admit a spiritual shaking is needed desperately among PAOC believers in Christ!

2Ch 7:14 and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health. (The Message)
